Mellotron M4000D Series
Sound & Update Cards
In addition to hundreds of more sounds, Sound Cards can deliver updates to your M4000D Mellotron Series instruments (Regular, Mini, Rack). Unlike many other modern electronic devices, the update only takes about 10 seconds.
Sound cards firmware updates contain:
Updating from firmware 4.0 to 4.5
-
Note stealing - Digital Mellotrons have 10 note polyphony, which usually isn’t a problem. But if you use the sustain pedal and play 11 notes, the first note played is cut, allowing the “11th note” to be played. So the first note gets “stolen,” hence note stealing.
-
Reversible polarity for sustain pedals
-
Improved MIDI functionality
Updating from firmware 3.3 to 4.0
-
Compatible with sound card 04 which has continuous loop sounds
-
Motor emulation on high/low switch for pitch bend effect
-
Wobble level adjustment (emulates a wobbly analog Mellotron)
-
Store settings on sound cards
-
Attack, release and start point can be set individually for each note on every sound
-
Two settings for MIDI pitch bend : +/-200 and +/-700 cents
